The Beginning of Ultrasoft
Our story began in the early 2000s, when we first started washing houses with chlorine solutions, building years of hands-on experience with Australian homes and exterior cleaning.
After an eight year break from the industry, we returned in 2020 and initially adopted the emerging American-style chlorine based softwash system.
Our experience soon led us to question whether the equipment, chemical dosing and methods were truly suited to Australian homes and conditions. Testing found chemical dosing variations of up to 200%, prompting us to begin developing a more controlled approach.
Over the following years, we refined the chemistry, equipment, application methods, dwell times and rinsing through continual testing and field experience.
During this period, we operated Softwash North Queensland, supplying our own specialised chemicals, knowledge and support to hundreds of cleaning businesses across Australia. That experience gave us a broad understanding of the exterior cleaning landscape in Australia and helped shape the system we were developing.
Softwash North Queensland eventually came to an end following a relationship breakdown. While the business itself closed, the passion, experience and vision behind it did not.
That journey continued, and in early 2023 the business was rebranded as Ultrasoft — allowing the original vision to evolve into the system we see today.
