We preserve the integrity and warranty of your Colourbond steel roof by strictly adhering to BlueScope technical standards and professional cleaning chemistry.
We adhere strictly to BlueScope’s Technical Bulletins TB4 (2003) and TB27 (2022) for Colourbond cleaning. This means using a maximum of 2% sodium hypochlorite (the active ingredient in chlorine) and a maximum dwell time of 5 minutes. Because of this, we never spray an entire roof at once. Instead, we work in small, controlled sections and rinse each area with copious amounts of clean water.
Ultrasoft’s specially developed equipment is designed specifically for this process, allowing us to clean effectively while protecting your roof’s surface. We never use pressure washers or water blasting on Colourbond. High pressure can strip the ultra-thin polymer and alloy coating (around 25 microns thick on a 0.48 mm sheet), shortening the life of your roof.
Pressure cleaning also risks forcing water into the ceiling cavity, damaging internal waterproofing and creating conditions for mould growth. Our low-pressure, standards-compliant approach protects both your roof and the health of everyone inside the property.
